FAYAL TOWNSHIP, MN (KDAL) – A 42 year old Eveleth man is in custody after a pursuit by St. Louis County deputies on Tuesday.
Officers responded to a burglary report on the Lost Lake Road in Fayal Township.
Surveillance equipment allowed deputies to get a good description of the suspect and the vehicle used in the burglary.
The suspect vehicle was spotted and a traffic stop was conducted.
The suspect refused to shut off the vehicle and then accelerated leading to a pursuit that lasted about 13 miles.
After avoiding stop sticks, the suspect was stopped using a PIT maneuver and was arrested without further incident.
Charges are expected to include 3rd degree burglary, multiple felony warrants, fleeing in a motor vehicle and possession of a stolen vehicle.
