DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – After 42 years of public service, St. Louis County Attorney Mark Rubin has announced his retirement at the end of September.
Rubin was first elected as County Attorney in 2010.
Except for two years in private practice, Rubin has been in the County Attorney’s office since interning there in 1975.
Since his current term runs through 2022, the County Board will need to appoint someone to fill the remainder of Rubin’s term.
While he was County Attorney, Rubin advocated for improved services for domestic abuse and sex trafficking survivors. He has also taken an active role in the restorative justice program to help offenders take accountability for their actions.
