DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – The Northland is expected to see a couple of weather systems this week featuring snow and colder temperatures.
The National Weather Service Office in Duluth has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the first system on Monday.
Three to five inches of snow is possible during the day Monday, more along the north shore, with temperatures falling to below zero by Tuesday morning.
The next, larger system is expected to arrive on Wednesday into Thursday with snow, blowing snow and even colder temperatures.
A Winter Storm Watch is in effect for Wednesday morning through Thursday afternoon.
At this time, over six inches is likely across the area with that storm and a foot or more is possible in northwest Wisconsin.
In addition to the falling snow, blowing and drifting snow will reduce visibility and create difficult driving conditions.
