DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – The installation of fencing at the old St. Mary’s Hospital site will temporarily close the section of 3rd Street between 5th and 4th Avenues East in Duluth.
The closure will begin at 6 a-m Thursday and continue through Friday afternoon.
Significant traffic congestion is expected and motorists are advised to take alternate routes when practical.
The marked detour will be around the block to the north.
Visitors to the Essentia Clinic are advised that the only available exit will be to 2nd Street from the parking ramp.
When the fencing work is completed on Friday, 3rd Street will re-open to limited lane traffic while on-going repaving in the area continues.
