Oct 10 (Field Level Media) – The Nashville Predators acquired defenseman Jayden Struble from the Montreal Canadiens for a second-round pick in the 2027 NHL Draft.
Struble, 25, played in three games this season for Montreal, averaging a career-low 12:05 of ice time with no points.
The Rhode Island native has 35 points (seven goals, 28 assists), a plus-3 rating and 167 penalty minutes in 174 games since making his NHL debut with the Canadiens in 2023. Montreal drafted Struble in the second round in 2019.
“Jayden Struble is a 25-year-old physical defender who will add mobility and a hard-to-play-against quality that will help our backend,” said Chris MacFarland, the Predators’ president of hockey operations and general manager, on Friday. “We are excited to watch his growth and look forward to him being a player who can grow with us.”
Struble is in the second season of a two-year, $2.825 million contract he signed with the Canadiens on July 28, 2025.
