The Texas Rangers activated reliever Chris Martin from the 15-day injured list and optioned fellow right-hander Gavin Collyer to Triple-A Round Rock on Tuesday.
Martin, who turns 40 next month, landed on the IL on April 15 with a right shoulder impingement. He was 1-1 with a 7.11 ERA in eight appearances out of the bullpen before the injury.
Martin is 19-25 with a 3.39 ERA and 16 saves in 426 career games (zero starts) with seven teams since 2014, including two stints with the Rangers (2018-19, 2025-current). He won a World Series with the Atlanta Braves in 2021.
Collyer, 25, made his major league debut on April 15. Through 14 relief appearances, he is 1-0 with a 2.84 ERA to go along with 10 strikeouts and eight walks in 12 2/3 innings.
